30-Second Sizzle Reel for Griffith University's ADaPT Labs.
In 2024, I edited and colour graded a promotional video for Griffith University Gold Coast’s ADAPT Labs, highlighting advanced materials research in a tightly controlled lab environment. The project was shot on a SONY FX6 Cinema Camera and graded in DaVinci Resolve Studio. One of the main challenges was working around the tight space and safety restrictions in the lab, especially since titanium powder was stored there, meaning all equipment needed to be spark-free. I also had to work around limited lighting options to avoid overloading the circuits. Careful planning and problem-solving were key to capturing clean, cinematic visuals while keeping everything safe and efficient.

As with the previous ADAPT Labs video, this second piece was also shot on the SONY FX6 Cinema Camera and graded in DaVinci Resolve Studio. However, this version took on a longer, walkthrough-style format designed to guide viewers through the lab in a single, flowing visual journey. A key challenge here was achieving smooth movement in such a confined environment. We used a Wally Dolly rigged as a steadycam to create that seamless motion, which required careful coordination and a steady hand to navigate the tight, equipment-heavy space without compromising the safety protocols already in place. This approach helped elevate the visual storytelling while staying true to the lab’s controlled conditions.
